Tony Parsons on Non-duality
A friend of mine sent me this video which I thought was very good. In this video Tony Parsons talks about oneness, no-self or non-duality. Tony Parsons is a well-known person in the spiritual development scene.
Please understand that non-duality is not the same as ‘I AM presence‘. It is a more profound realisation than ‘I AM’.
At the stage of ‘I AM’, there is a vast Witness or observer observing ‘creation’. A person at the stage of ‘I AM’ will think that his/her true nature is not the thoughts, emotions and sensations. At ‘I AM’ stage, he or she will think that the true self is beyond the thoughts, emotions and sensation. The ‘I AM’ is really just an intermediate stage of the awakening process.
At the realisation of non-duality, there is no subject-object division. In the non-dual stage, there is only the act of doing the activity without the ’sense of a self’. There is no concept of a ‘beyond’ at non-duality. The manifested and Presence of the unborn is realised to be always inseparable.
