The followings are a
list of common dream symbols and their potential meanings.
Please understand that symbols are often highly personalised
and their semantics are often tinted by an individual's own
set of influences, beliefs and nuances. Nevertheless the below-listed
set should be fairly reflective for most:
Walking:
Trying to understand something. The speed and pace of the walk
denote the speed and pace of learning as well
Eating,
consuming: Trying to understand and digest a situation
Water:
Represents emotion. Lots of water around could mean being overwhelmed
by emotions.
Tree:
Symbolises thoughts and subconscious structure of the mind.
A dead branch may denote an old thought pattern.
Dreaming
of the past: Possibly represents an opportunity
to address and resolves issues originating from that period
of time.

Being
naked or barely clad: About feeling vulnerable or in-adequate.
Alternatively, undressing could refer to the revealing of
something.
Path,
road or track: One's journey of life or spiritual path.
Path turning right or one walking towards that direction,
may indicate that we are on the correct track.
Mountain:
Potential obstacles to be overcomed.
Losing
teeth: Generally denotes a time of great changes and
transformation ahead.
Underground:
Aspects not yet known. Subconscious. Hidden object buried
underground may denote secret.
Invisible
Presence: Possibly indicative of an aspect of self
that is still not fully known to the conscious personality
of the dreamer.
In
a foreign land or country: A new experience. Certain
experiences, knowledge that are not within the dreamer's experience
or understanding yet.
Battle,
war: This possibly symbolises internal conflicts within
ourselves.
Grassland,
grass field, pasture: A greener pasture. Often signifies
a better prospect in the future.Walking through it denotes
happiness and good fortune.

shower: Signifies cleansing that could be spiritual,
mental or emotional in nature.
Missing
or failing an exam: Often indicative of stress during
the waking hours related to the issue of failure/success.
Teacher,
guru: This could be the personification of the wise
and enlightened aspect of oneself.
Ghost: 1. An aspect
of self that one fears.
2.Something or some issues that are haunting oneself, that
may require addressing. It may also denote that one should
perhaps move on and evolve beyond certain patterns.
River, stream: Represent
emotions and the flow of it
Bridge: Represents
a transitional phase of transformation.
Foreign language:
Represents a level of experience not within comprehension
yet.
