Pyrite

The name Pyrite is derive for the greek word for Fire. It is one of the widely distributed sulphide mineral. It can be found in igneous rock often as an accessory mineral. It is common in hydrothermal sulphide veins.

The crystal system for Pyrite is cubic. It has a metallic look. The hardness for Pyrite is 6-6.5.
