Symbolism involved (Symbols are highlighted above)
Childhood days and environment: This could mean that the issue that the dream was signifying could have originated during childhood days.
Drain- Possibly a word pun for 'being drained'. This could be indicative that something in life is making one feeling drained. Other aspects of the dream may provide more clues to the cause of it. If someone is hiding in the drain, it may mean that the issue of the draining is currently not fully known (hidden) to the conscious self.
House- represent self.
WATER - Water represents emotion. Lots of water around could mean being overwhelmed by emotions.

The Interpretation
Mr A is a avid fishkeeper since his childhood days. The dream in his childhood home means that the habit of fishkeeping was acquired during that time.
This hobby is lately draining him emotionally. This is signified by the fishtank in the drain and the tank bursting which pours fishes and water into the dream.
True enough, a few days after the dream, Mr A had problems handling all the fishes as they have produced themselves profusely and there isn't enough tanks to accomdate all the fishes. This makes him exasperated.
